What's Going On with Waterloo Fiber?
As the weather turns chillier and the air turns crisp, fall is upon us! Here at Waterloo Fiber, we’re staying busy working on installations, preparing to open areas for service, and putting together details about phone and TV services.
October will be a fun month for Waterloo! From downtown shopping to Halloween activities, there will always be something to do. Check out our updates from this past month and our future activities we have planned.
TV & Phone Service - Coming Soon!
We are making progress in finalizing plans for our phone services. We are currently testing our phone product and working out the kinks in order to make sure we can provide the best service possible.

Phase 2 Update
Phase 2 fiber cable construction is complete and we are now working on getting the Phase 2 hut set up to start connecting customers. We expect service to open to Phase 2 before the end of 2025. Once the Phase 2 hut is complete and ready to go, we’ll let customers know when their specific area is open for service. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding as we continue to connect Waterloo!
Upcoming Events
As Halloween draws near, get ready to celebrate with Waterloo Fiber! Our office is preparing for spooky season by hosting a door decorating contest, and we need your help! Vote for your favorite door by visiting our Facebook page and voting for your favorite. Voting will take place from Monday, October 20th to Thursday, October 23rd, and the winners will be announced on Friday, October 24th.
On Saturday, October 25th, come visit downtown Waterloo businesses to join in on trick-or-treating fun from 10am-12pm. We’ll be hosting a free photo booth for trick-or-treaters and their families to enjoy! Stop by our office to get your photo taken, grab some candy, and check out the activities in Lincoln Park. We can’t wait to see all the fun costumes!
Looking Ahead
With the Phase 2 hut nearing completion, we can look ahead to the Phase 3 hut. This hut will service parts of the west and north side of Waterloo. Expected construction completion is approximately Spring 2026, so make sure to stay tuned for updates! We’ll provide information through our newsletter, website, and social media channels.
